2nd year for rock garden

planted Spring 2004

There was the formation of rocks when we bought the house.  Maybe once it was a rock garden, I don't know.  It had no left over plantings that I could see, just overgown weeds.

Last year, 2004, I dug it all out, with some help from grandchildren.  I then laid down plastic, and left for sun to kill off weeds.  Then I planted varieties of  2 inch pots of sedum and cactus plants, along with some gallon pots of  lavendar plants.  I love lavendar.  And I accidentally managed to get a great round variety with yellow flowers that works nicely with the traditional shaped lavendar plants with the lavendar flowers.
And now I have a rock garden!
