Charles L Ellsworth


Charles L. Ellsworth born 7-21-35 to Alice and Dwayne Ellsworth since deceased, was raised in Olympia. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 16th, 2006 after a long battle with illnesses. Charlie was a strong and courageous man. A devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather, Charlie loved family. Charlie was a longshoreman for 40 years and worked on the waters in Willapa Bay area of Raymond, South Bend, Bay Center, Olympia and Tacoma. He was a Shriner and a Masonic; U.S. Army, Korean-era Veteran. He loved the waters of Alaska, Washington and the Oregon coast. He loved family, friends, and he loved life. At Charlie's request there will be no services, memorial to follow.

Survived by Joy Ellsworth his wife, and five children: daughters Kim Foster (married to Bobby) of Shelton, Lietta Ruger (married to Arthur) of Bay Center, Julie French (married to Don) of Tacoma, Denitta Ortiz (married to Alfred) of Tacoma and son Sam Wagner of Florida. He had 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
