Helpful cleaning  hints from clever Skinflint $$ saving people

-- Cleaning With Club Soda  - Club soda is the best stain and odor remover I've found when my dog has a potty accident on the carpet. The key is to get to it as soon as possible. First use a paper towel to tab up as much of the urine as possible, then pour about 1/2 a small bottle of club soda directly on the area. Watch it fizz, wait about 5 minutes, and then dab it again with more paper towels. You will not see or smell any evidence as long as the stain hasn't had time to set in.

-- Drain - To keep drains running free and easy, and to prevent the high cost of plumber fees; don't wait until the problem is there, prevent it by pouring 1/2 cup baking soda into the drain, followed with 1/2 cup white vinegar. This solution will foam, (this is supposed to happen). Cover the drain and leave for 30 minutes. FLush with cool water. Do this once a month for pennies, to save hundreds down the line!

-- Foggy windshields - Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the glove box of your car. When the windows fog, rub with the eraser. Works better than a cloth!
