Using Shrubs and Vines for Fall Foliage, Fruits and Flowers
Every garden needs shrubs for structure and good bones. Fall foliage is often thought of with regards to trees, but shrubs can offer just as much interest. The shrubs listed here come into their full glory in the fall. Some of these shrubs offer colorful, bold foliage, others have interesting fruits and berries that may hang on into the winter months. Some even flower in the fall.

Vines add height and depth to a garden. While flowering vines are often favored, vines with spectacular fall color can draw the eye to a garden structure or up and through a garden like nothing else.
